Hollywood Make Up Secrets for Face

How come celebs are looking gorgeous on the red carpet?

Because they're working with experts (and I'm not talking about experts in Photoshop).
No pimples, wrinkles, scars, spots on their faces.
Get some makeup artist tips, read about techniques that professional celebrity make-up artists are using and you may found out the secrets that make celebs look stunning on the red carpet!

How To: Even Out Skin Tone

Prep the skin with a moisturizer and foundation primer.
This step ensures that your foundation will go on more smoothly.

Apply concealer where needed and foundation all over.

Then, if it's for an evening event, set everything with a powder or bronzer.

How To: Tame Oily Skin

The most important step when applying makeup is the skin preparation.
First, use a toner to remove excess oil, then apply a moisturizer that also works to minimize pores and control oil.

Set foundation or prepped skin with a loose translucent powder using a powder puff. Remove excess powder with a large fluffy brush.

To control oil throughout the day, apply an anti-shine gel sparingly with a sponge before touching up with powder. Oil-blotting papers are also great.

How To: Minimize a Forehead

Creating a "diversion" away from the forehead.
Apply a shimmer cream to the center of the face.
Then, using a bronzer or darker color powder, contour the forehead, temple, and chin.

How To: Accentuate Cheekbones

Create a contour underneath your cheekbones with a bronzer or darker powder.
Then concentrate your blush at the temple of the cheek rather than the apple area.

How To: Brighten a Dull Complexion

Apply a tanning moisturizer every day.
Since a gradual tanner takes two to three days to do its work, plan ahead to look your best for your event.

How To: Cover Up Flaky Skin

It is very hard. The best advice is to exfoliate the skin and then apply a moisturizer.

Make sure you apply cream in an upward motion so that it stays on the skin rather than getting absorbed.

You want a nice layer of moisture so that your foundation will go on more smoothly.

How To: Make Your Face Look Thinner

Shade the parts of your face that you want to slim down with a darker powder or cream. Use a taupe or dark brown, depending on your skin tone. And be sure to blend well.

How To: Choose the Right Concealer

We suggest keeping several concealers on hand depending on location and need.
If it's intended for covering dark under-eye circles, use a shade that's one or two tones lighter than your face color.
For red spots, pick a yellow tone, and for purple or bluish circles under the eyes, an orange tone.
